2024 AVIVA STADIUM COMMUNITY FUND NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

The 2024 Aviva Stadium Fund is now open for applications. It will remain open until 31st March 2024.

Scroll down for Ts&Cs and Application Form. As per those conditions only projects occurring in a one kilometer radius out from the stadium are eligible for funding.

The fund is intended to support local initiatives which benefit those living within the catchment area. The fund is there to fund capital expenditure on projects or equipment related to such projects. To date the fund which was originally launched in 2007 has been invested in over 500 projects in the community.

Aviva Stadium supports deserving projects in the area immediately surrounding the stadium and in 2007 created an annual fund of €100,000. This fund is index linked and will continue for the life of the stadium. The fund has been running since its inception and the funds have been invested into the local community. 

Any monies not given out in the year go into the following year's fund. The fund is administered by the Stadium Community Committee (SCC - formerly the Project Monitoring Committee) which consists of two representatives each of Aviva Stadium, Dublin City Councillors, the local community and Dublin City Council executives. The SCC is advised by an independent advisor who now visits everyone making an eligible application to the fund. Included in the applications are summer camps for local children; new uniforms for the local branch of the St Johns Ambulance; upgrading of sports facilities for a range of clubs; staging of theatre and dance shows; music and food festivals; a sensory room for a local school and miscellaneous equipment for a number of local organisations.

Note: Under the rules of the community scheme no project can receive more than 50% of the grant requested. each organisation applying for funding must also be demonstrate that they are in a position to raise the rest of the funding for the project in question. All projects are initially assessed by an independent accessor who makes a recommendation to the Stadium Community Committee.
