Aviva Stadium Bag Policy

To make the Aviva Stadium safe for everyone, there are restrictions on what you can bring in a bag into the stadium.

Each person can only bring one small bag, and it must not be bigger than A4 size:

  • Height 297mm (11.7 inches)
  • Width 210mm (8.27 inches)
  • Depth 210mm (8.27 inches)

This means the overall bag size. Bags that are folded over to reduce their size will not be accepted. Anyone carrying bags that do not meet the criteria above will not be allowed in. Bags will be checked at an outer cordon. If there’s a query on size, a bag gauge will be used.

Safety is everything. That’s why we regularly review safety and security policies, looking for ways to improve them.  By limiting the size and style of bags people can carry in, our bag policy enhances safety inside and outside the stadium. As well as making everyone feel safer, this means less time queuing – helping you get to your seats well before the event you’ve come to see.

The following items are prohibited: fireworks, smoke canisters, vuvuzelas, bottles, knives, glasses, cans, flags, banners, poles, laser devices, dangerous or hazardous items and other similar articles or containers including anything which could or might be used as a weapon are not permitted within the ground and any person in possession of such an article or container may be refused entry or ejected from the Stadium. Umbrellas are not permitted to be used within Aviva Stadium. Prams / Strollers are not permitted within Aviva Stadium. Small cameras are permitted for rugby and football matches but we do not permit lenses bigger than 70mm to be used.
